SPAIN WINE TOURS
Exploring Ribera, Rueda, Rioja, Bilbao & more
FAR FROM THE ORDINARY
We visit the top producers, taste old vintages, and immerse ourselves in Spanish history and culture. We do all this in the lap of luxury, hosted by a Master of Wine.
We meet in Madrid and we’re off on a five-day wine tour extravaganza to visit the best producers in Rueda, Ribera del Duero, and Rioja. You’ll find yourself in vineyards and cellars with the owners and winemakers, visiting castles and cathedrals, and eating at two Michelin starred restaurants. We wrap up in the city of Bilbao, steps from the Guggenheim.
You’ll learn about some of the most traditional winemaking practices in the world, contrasted with some of the most modern. You’ll visit futuristic wineries in villages that date back centuries. It’s an experience.
If you’re looking to taste the best wines of Spain accompanied by great food, in a fun and relaxed atmosphere, then our tour is just what the doctor ordered.Spain is an adventure, something different and unique, with an atmosphere of fun, romance, and hedonistic pleasure.
I invite you to join us on this wonderful tour.

SEGOVIA AND RUEDA
We leave from Madrid and visit the fabled Alcazar castle in Segovia. At lunch we introduce the exciting world of Spanish wine, and guide you through a tasting of some classics. It’s a lovely lunch at the best restaurant in Segovia, with theatrics by the chef as he carves the suckling pig with a plate, and you’ll enjoy 6 wines paired with each course.
Then it’s on to discover the whites of Rueda. You’ll enjoy a tasting of fresh, crisp whites made from the unique Verdejo grape at one of the top producers in Rueda.
Then it’s on to Ribera for big reds from Tempranillo. For two nights you’ll rest your head at the Hotel Pesquera, a boutique hotel owned by the famed winery.
BURGOS & RIOJA
We move on to Rioja for two nights, visiting the benchmarks and discovering some of the hidden gems.
On the way we view the stunning cathedral in Burgos, before settling in for a long lunch fueled with fine Rioja at a top Bodega.
The day is just beginning. We stay at luxury boutique hotel, The Viura.
RIOJA – MODERN AND NEW
The Rioja extravaganza continues. We visit 6 wineries in total here, sipping prized old vintage Gran Reservas and exploring the cavernous tunnels where thousands of bottles mature.
At Riscal we see one of the most unique architectural designs imaginable, a Frank Gehry.
Other Bodegas provide their own insight into the Tempranillo, Granacha, Graciano & Mazuelo varieties. It’s an experience.

MEET YOUR HOST
Our Luxury Wine Tours in Spain are guided by Master of Wine, Mini Constant.
MINI joined the wine tasting team at university, whilst studying Politics & Economics, and thereafter a hobby became a career. She started in London at the wine department of Harrods, followed by becoming a sommelière in a fashionable restaurant in the City of London. She continued her career with the Symington port family, who have been in Oporto for over 130 years and own the prestigious houses of Warre’s, Dow’s, and Graham’s amongst others.
In 1987 Mini moved to France with her husband and became an agent sourcing wines from South-West France for the UK trade. Since 2003 she has been running her own business, Tastevin du Monde, which has a number of different facets. It includes teaching WSET courses, mainly for young wine professionals, in France, in Bordeaux, and in China, in Shanghai. Mini also blends wines for various vineyards in South-West France and when replanting helps them choose which grape varieties to use to increase complexity, to cope with climate change, and to lessen the use of chemicals in the vineyard. The final, very enjoyable facet is accompanying groups in France and Spain on luxurious, fun wine tours.
