After moving to the Okanagan, he now combines his two great passions: wine and teaching.

Mike has extensive knowledge of the Okanagan wine industry, as well as many of the world’s most famous wine regions. He has traveled and tasted throughout France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Australia, New Zealand and the U.S. He also works for the British Columbia Wine Institute and has also judged at Okanagan wine competitions. But his passion is for Burgundy.

Mike's engaging, unpretentious, and relaxed style is coupled with his passion for wine and his obvious love of interacting and engaging with his students.

Geoffrey Moss earned his Master of Wine in Fall 2020, after completing his research paper on factors affecting wine club attrition. He lives in the Okanagan Valley, where he is the Principal of Lithica Wine Marketing, a boutique agency that helps wineries develop effective, customer-centric business and marketing strategies.

After graduating with a degree in Political Science from McGill University, Geoffrey took the only logical next step: he enrolled in the Winemaking and Viticulture program at Niagara College. Concurrently, he worked his way through the WSET program, completing the WSET Level 4 Diploma in 2014. His experience both in the vineyard and cellar now uniquely informs his approach to sales and marketing, which he bolstered by completing coursework towards a Master of Business Administration before dedicating himself to the Master of Wine program.

He previously worked for some of the leading wineries in Canada and was instrumental in launching Phantom Creek Estates, a now critically acclaimed winery in Oliver, British Columbia. An avid writer, Geoffrey is also a wine reviewer/critic and contributor at Gismondi on Wine, and has previously been published on Jamie Goode’s WineAnorak, Jancis Robinson’s Purple Pages and Palate Press. He also runs Søren Wine, a boutique negociant wine label, with Ryan McKibbon.
